File naming convention

Format

YYYY-MM-DD - Description.ext for dated documents, or ClientShortName - YE2025 - Description.ext for year-end deliverables.

Examples

• 2026-06-30 - Bank statement RBC chequing.pdf
• Client A - YE2025 - T2 draft.pdf
• 06-30-2026 - Insurable Earnings Calculation.xlsx (WSIB working papers keep the MM-DD-YYYY form)

Rules

• No spaces at the start or end, no special characters other than dash and underscore.
• Draft vs final must be obvious from the name.
• One document per file; do not merge unrelated statements into one PDF.
